St. James Lutheran Church is a congregation of the North/West Lower Michigan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are a welcoming community of faith who seeks to be authentic in living and sharing the gospel in our world. No matter where you are in your faith journey, we invite you to come and experience worship and life in community with us.
About St. James:
Our congregation is founded after St. James, the elder. St. James and his brother John were fishermen (along with their father Zebedee), and Jesus spotted them all together in a boat mending their nets. He called out to the brothers to come and follow him and he will make them fishers of people. At that intriguing offer, both St. James and John left their father and everything they knew to follow Jesus.
Similarly, our congregation seeks to follow the example of St. James and invite others to come and see what the love of Jesus is all about.
